Cohen Still Wheeling, Dealing in Liberia: Cellcom, LISCR Deal Renewal on Hold; CEO Owes Millions


According to information obtained by FPA, the LISCR CEO met with Sirleaf around 8:30 am on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2006, at the president’s residence in Monrovia. Cohen, according to sources sought to convince Sirleaf to renew his Cellcom and LISCR contracts which are up for renewal in 2007. However, according to a source, Sirleaf was adamant that the LISCR CEO settles unpaid taxes of LISCR trust in Liberia where he reportedly owes some US$3M.
