Largest Pro Democratic Liberian Group Based in USA Endorses Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for President

The committee, at a well attended teleconference of the Movement, on September 4, 2005, did recommend the name of Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as the Movement’s choice for President of the Republic of Liberia. At that teleconference, the Movement overwhelming voted to accept the committee’s report and to endorse Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, being convinced that she is ready, willing and able to lead Liberia to recovery from war and to full re-admission onto the world stage. The reasons for our selection are contained in the report of the Selection Committee attached herein.
