Liberty Party on Dismal Socio-Economic Conditions, Travel Ban, Rice Monopoly, Etc.

Drawing particular attention of some of the aspects affecting the living standards of the Liberian people, as the party did one year ago, Mr. Akinsanya said the issue of rice is a major political matter in the Liberian society. “Just as we mentioned one year ago that monopolization of this commodity would create a condition whereby individuals would take undue advantage and exploit the already impoverished Liberian, today we are constrained to revisit the issue and affirm our opposition to the systematic exploitation of the citizenry by the benefactors of monopoly, and to a limited extent, oligopoly, in the rice market,” the Liberty Party National Chairman said.
